Personal Auto Insurance

In the state of Pennsylvania, drivers are required to have a minimum auto insurance coverage of at least 15/30/5 and at least 5000 medical coverage. However, this may not be enough to cover you for major accidents or other circumstances. We are here to help you build a budget friendly policy that works for you. Ask us about additional coverage options if you feel you need more protection.

What is 15/30/5 coverage and 5000 medical coverage?

  • 15 - means $15,000 and refers to how much your insurance will pay for injuries per person if you are responsible for an accident.

  • 30 - means $30,000 and refers to the maximum amount your insurance will pay for the entire accident.

  • 5 - means $5,000 and refers to the maximum amount of property damage covered.

  • 5000 - means $5,000 and refers to how much of you and each passenger’s medical needs are covered in the event of an accident.

Drivers must also consider what tort coverage option is right for them. What is tort coverage?

  • Full Tort - gives individuals the ability to sue in court for pain and suffering.

  • Limited Tort - limits the ability to sue and receive compensation for pain and suffering.

Some additional coverage options include:

  • Collision - coverage for your vehicle if you are responsible for an accident. Your insurance will pay for all repairs to your car minus your chosen deductible. The deductible is how much you will pay out of pocket before the insurance covers the rest.

  • Comprehensive - coverage for theft or vandalism. Your insurance will pay damages to your vehicle minus the deductible.

  • Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist Coverage - coverage if you are injured as a result of an accident and the other driver doesn't have insurance or not enough insurance to cover your medical expenses. Your insurance will pay up to the limits you choose.

  • Car Rental Coverage - pays up to the coverage limit for a rental car if your car is being repaired as a result of an accident.

  • Emergency Roadside Assistance - coverage that pays for someone to tow your car to the nearest repair shop, fix a flat tire, unlock your car if you accidentally lock your keys in your car, and bring you gas if your car runs out.
